Guidelines Transmitting Data

We will provide FTP credentials and address instructions to any client or partner requesting that service. The FTP folder will be for your exclusive use. You are free to upload to the FTP site and make modifications to files on the site as desired.

We also offer FTP access with an added layer of security that provides SSL encryption of authentication commands and payloads for FTP clients that offer this support. To take advantage of these security options, all you need to do is make sure your FTP configuration is set to allow encryption. This is a simple process but it needs to be done manually. Click here for a list of FTP clients that support SSL encryption and a quick guide for updating the configuration.

When you have completed an FTP upload, are satisfied that the upload is complete, and are ready to have the files processed and loaded into Catalyst CR, please notify Application Support. The notification should be sent through Catalyst ST or an email request to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

The request to Application Support should include the following:

  • The name of client and (if applicable) the partner
  • The name of the Catalyst CR site
  • Information regarding file or files that are ready to be processed and uploaded to the Catalyst CR site
  • An attached transmittal log that will allow us to verify that we received the complete transmission.
  • An inventory report of the files to be added to the site for QC purposes.
  • Any other information about the FTP upload including time constraints and rush requests.

Once the ticket has been submitted, our Application Support technicians will process the request as quickly as possible in accordance with our Service Level Guidelines.

We delete all FTP data after 45 days. If you need data archived, please do that yourself or contact your Catalyst Project Manager to arrange for special handling.
