Insight Release–January 20, 2017

As you may know, Catalyst has a new Head of Product Management, Daniel Au Yeung, who brings more than 25 years of experience in the e-discovery industry. We in Catalyst Training are very excited to work with Daniel, and already, we are showing our clients, partners and users some significant improvements to Insight.

Since our latest release on January 20, 2017, we can turn on a new type of document viewer at our client’s request. This viewer provides a more genuine display of native records. It retains the formatting of Excel and PowerPoint files, shows tracked changes in the viewer, and provides more and better highlighting options, and it makes it even easier for you to enable only the highlights you need within the document. This new viewer also offers better paging through a record using thumbnails. Many of you are already using this popular new viewer, because clients are eagerly asking us to enable it on their sites.

We are also pleased to include Detail page changes that allow you to customize certain form features. You can now dock the form to the left of the document content or leave it at the right. And you can easily access read-only forms, showing fielded information by field types. You’ll find this a quick way to view the fielded data you’ need.

For our administrators, Forms and Highlights administration are both much easier to use. Highlights administration also now allows for pattern-based,  intuitive highlighting. This is especially useful for social security numbers, tax ID numbers and phone numbers, for example.
